What Is a Blessing?
IGB believes true blessings are from God and not a result of our own efforts or cosmic luck. Blessings make for encouraging, uplifting, strengthening and/or instructive stories that are easy and fun to read, because submitters are not boastful or believe their good fortune was earned or even deserved.
Blessings can be small events like “Today, when the Sun hit my face I knew God was going to be with me throughout the day.”, or huge like “Today, I found out my cancer has disappeared. Praying for healing really works!!” Blessings can tell of hard lessons, the graceful dodging of a bullet, or a pure dose of peace, love and joy.

IGB seeks to maximize the number of stories published, because we have no idea all the ways God can use a story to bless others. IGB does consider subject matter, moderator votes and the factors below when publishing stories:
1) Honor God, be authentic, thankful and humble (it ain’t all about you, afterall)
2) Explain how your blessing encouraged, uplifted, strengthened and/or instructed you
3) Keep your language and subject matter appropriate
4) Keep the churchy language to a minimum so everyone can understand and enjoy…just tell it like it is.
5) Check your spelling
